Fab Finds of the Week: Elf & St. Ives

During lunch this week, I made what was supposed to be a quick trip to Target for three items. Now, I’m sure you can guess what happened. I, like all females, ended up walking out with several things I didn’t intend to purchase. Shocker.

However, in true Frual Fashionista style, I went for the bargains. Since I initially went in for a few toiletries, I decide to quickly browse the makeup department. I’ve purchased a few Elf cosmetics before, but since they are so inexpensive, I wanted to see what else they had to offer.

Found this awesome lip exfoliator for $3. Works great, leaves your lips feeling buttery smooth, and it smells great!

For $3, this bronzer does a great job. I definitely suggest pairing it with a darker bronzer if you want a tanner look, as this gives a shimmery-glow look.

One product I have been (preventatively) using for about six months is St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Moisturizer. I’ve read reviews that say this stuff works like a charm for wrinkles, and although I don’t have any yet, I’ve been using this as a preventative treatment on my face, neck and upper chest every night before bed. Be careful though – if your skin isn’t used to collagen, it WILL burn a bit the first couple of times you use it, but your skin will adjust and it’s definitely worth it.

Super inexpensive, smells delicious and moisturizes like a charm.

One final frugal beauty buy I suggest is Noxema. No seriously, a few times a week, I use the stuff as a mask for about 30 minutes after washing my face (but before moisturizing) and it brightens the skin like nobody’s business – and it’s VERY cheap!
