Pinspired: Frugal Fashionista

So we’ve crawled out of the frigid temps known as the polar vortex and are back into more usual Charleston weather.. unseasonably warm weather. (Although after it’s been -5 degrees for a couple days, you’d be surprised how warm 32 feels.) It’s been in the 50s the last couple of days here, though.

The point is, it’s nice to be in cold but not frigid temps AND to be able to shower again (feeling thankful my house was in Zone 4 and the Do Not Use order was lifted last night).

I saw this look on Pinterest the other day and realizing I had extremely similar pieces in my closet – I had to recreate it with my frugal finds:

Love this winter chic look!

I thought it was best to keep the jewelry to a minimum and let the clothes themselves do the talking with this look. I’ve been trying to decide the best way to wear my skater skirt in winter, and I’ve also been skeptical about wearing shirts untucked from skirts (when you’re petite, it can look like youre wearing a bunch of potato sacks) so I’m thrilled to have found ways to do both in one look.
