We know what today is: Hump daaaaay! We’re halfway through the week [almost] and if you’re like me sometimes you need a little mid-week inspo!
When it comes to my job, some days/weeks are dressier than others. If we don’t have events or meetings scheduled I tend to dress slightly more casually. This week, however, we have quite a bit going on, so my wardrobe turns business. Here are some tips for making your business wardrobe more interesting and fun:
1. Try a statement jacket. I especially love a Tweed jacket for winter and spring. It instantly gives your outfit a classic, polished touch:
2. Add a fun detail. I found this kimono top at Marshall’s a few weeks ago at a great price and I couldn’t pass it up. I thought at first it would have to be put on the back burner until it was warm enough to wear it with boyfriend jeans and a killer open-toed shoe. BUT then I thought, DUH – throw it over a dress in place of a blazer. Be sure to belt it so you don’t look like a hippie-lady (unless, of course, that’s the look you’re going for):
3. Go for a go-to. A sheath dress with a fun pattern and fabric (in this case, tweed) is an instant outfit. I found this dress at Marshall’s for a great price recently. It’s sleeveless, so it will be great for summer or winter – just add tights and a cardigan!
