Visit Asheville: Where to Stay

When planning our vacation, we decided pretty early on that we wanted to stop in Asheville, NC on our way to Charleston. While we only had 24 hours in the charming city, we figured it would be worth it.

I’m excited to share a mini-travel guide for a weekend getaway!

Where we stayed: Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown. What’s funny about this hotel is that we completely stumbled upon it. Because of Seth’s occupation, we are very fortunate to be able to book the majority of our hotel stays with rewards points. Seth booked this one for us, without realizing it was literally opening week for the location. It was a lovely hotel, and we ended up actually being the first ones to stay in our room (it had opened 4 days prior).

The best photo I have of our room is this hilarious shot of Seth, so of course I had to post it.

Even in ‘chain’ hotels in Asheville, you’re getting a unique experience. Not only was the decor on-point with a rustic-modern feel, but there’s also a farm to table restaurant inside, The Iron Hen.

We had breakfast here before heading out of town, and it was absolutely delicious.

What we did: With a limited amount of time, we decided to wander the streets and hit as many local restaurants and breweries as possible. We started at the rooftop bar in our hotel, The Pillar, a ‘garden to glass’ bar which grows all the herbs for their cocktails right on the rooftop.

A full outfit post is coming your way tomorrow, and what we did while we were in town later this week.

Dress accordingly,
